The Shepherd and His lost Sheep - Pastor Dave Klassen

Aug 23, 2026    Pastor Dave Klassen

In Luke 15:1–7, Jesus tells the parable of the lost sheep—a powerful picture of the heart of God for those who are far from Him.

Pastor Dave Klassen reminds us that every single soul matters to God. The shepherd does not simply settle for the ninety-nine; he goes searching for the one that is lost until he finds it. And when that sheep is found, there is great rejoicing.

This message challenges us to see people the way God sees them—not as unimportant, hopeless, or beyond reach, but as people deeply loved by their Shepherd. As followers of Christ, we are also given the responsibility to reach out to those who are lost, hurting, and searching for hope.

Key themes from this message:

- Every person matters to God.

- God does not want anyone to be lost.

- Jesus is the Good Shepherd who cares for His sheep.

- We are called to reach out to those who do not yet know Christ.

- Finding the lost brings great joy.

May this message give you a renewed passion to see the lost through God’s eyes and to share the love and hope of Jesus with those around you.
